Electric Grounds Equipment
Sustainability Problem and Proposed Solution:
Traditional gasoline powered landscape maintenance equipment is high carbon emission and high noise. Because of the large areas individuals maintain on this campus, some form of power equipment is a necessary reality. Newly introduced battery powered replacements have started to become available for some categories of equipment and can provide a zero emission, lower noise alternative. Operators are finding the equipment less stressful to use as well.
