The purpose of this project is to demonstrate the ability to heat water with a compost pile. The woodchips are saturated with water and begin to breakdown producing heat. This heat is then captured by water flowing in tubes through the compost. This water can then be used for various purposes such as heating greenhouses or homes, showers, hottubs, etc.
