As the Provost Sustainability Intern, my role was to support Common Ground Center through sustainable event planning and outreach. In order to do this, I worked together with the Executive Committee and Student Board to create equitable events that promoted the work of Common Ground Center. Two major events that I worked on throughout the year included the World Cafe, a weekly potluck of food and ideas, and the Bioneers Conference, a two day social and environmental justice conference. Moreover, I communicated with other organizations on campus that aligned with the goals of Common Ground in hopes to make the Center more inclusive by inviting them to co-collaborate / co-host our events. By collaborating with other on campus organizations, we came together in search of solutions to problems we faced in the common from a diverse set of perspectives.

2015-2016:
- Boosted participation in events hosted by Common Ground Center by strengthening media outreach, such as our newsletters and Facebook page.
-Attended all 5 Student Board and 5 Executive meetings a quarter
- Participated in the World Cafe leadership team. My duties for this included hosting the world cafe, by coming up with questions and leading conversation
-Co-Created and participated in any events or activities hosted / co-hosted by the Common Ground Center. Major event included the UCSC Bioneers, where I dealt with the logistics of the conference.

2014-2015:
-Increased media promotion to influence attendance for events
-Participated in a leadership role in the decision making and fund raising aspects
- Coordinated event planning, media, and hosting of events that supported campus wide goals towards sustainability and social justice.

2013-2014:
-Co-created an active Common Ground student board that supported Common Ground's mission and activities
-Hosted regular conversations that matter via World Cafe
-Created lasting systems for the Common Ground Center and Kresge College that ensures all our activities are sustainable as possible
